Wow! 4 weeks and I haven't quit yet. I'm pretty impressed with myself. Today's work out was the same as the last 2. 5 mins. doesn't seem so bad now. Due to the fiasco of taking the dogs last time, I opted to leave them both home today.
When I started out with the 5 min walk this morning it was so cool I thought about turning around to get my jacket. I can't believe on August 1st I'm thinking I need a coat. Even though it is Saturday I was up before 7 and got out for my run. I really do like the morning run, it does seem to give me morn energy in the morning.
Even without the dogs today, I really didn't mind running. I've been practicing the breathing tip Shannon gave me. I realized today as I was finishing my run, that I actually liked my run today. I got to thinking about it and it is one of the few things I do in a week where I actually think about what I am doing, right when I'm doing it. I realized that most of the time when I'm driving or at work I'm thinking about what I need to be doing next and not really in the task at hand. I think that is the thing I'm going to focus on when it comes to running. Just enjoy 30 mins of time to myself and let that be what it is. 30 mins of me time.
